Overview of Things 3.22.10 for Mac

Things 3 offers a sleek, minimalist interface, a streamlined structure, and powerful functionality. Everyone’s favorite task organizer is back with a familiar, updated design!

Here are the basic principles of Things:

1. Jot down everything that comes to mind.

Don’t try to memorize tasks; write them down as they occur to you. Add tasks to Things using keyboard shortcuts (available in any app) or with Siri.

2. Organize tasks by context and project.

Create a project for each major goal and then fill it with specific tasks that you can complete all at once. You can also group projects and tasks by area; for example, “Work,” “Hobbies,” or “Health.” Review all areas regularly and don’t neglect any.

3. Plan your time wisely.

Your operating system calendar to-do lists and Things tasks are displayed in a single list within the app, allowing you to quickly create a weekly schedule and stay on top of your work. You can easily set recurring tasks to repeat at a specific time.

4. Eliminate the unnecessary.

Check your inbox in the morning, select your daily tasks from the uncategorized list, and move them to the “Today” section. The tasks you planned for today will automatically appear in this section. Done! Forget searching through other lists. Get to work!

No annoying special effects, unwanted pop-ups, or lists with hundreds of options.

1. Just you and your tasks.

2. Everything is centered around your tasks.

Tasks appear in a list of small checkboxes. But double-tapping any task opens a blank page with all the information you need, including notes, descriptions, step-by-step instructions, tags, deadlines, and reminders.

3. It has many useful features.

Even the “Browse by Type” feature is worth trying; it provides incredibly smooth searching and navigation between sections. Or the Date Analyzer, which accurately interprets what you type: “tomorrow,” “in three days,” or “Tuesday.” 4. This is one of the best apps designed for macOS.

Things supports all macOS features: the Touch Bar, the Notification Center widget, Sharing, Handoff mode, data sharing with the built-in Calendar and Reminders apps, and automation via AppleScript.

5. Your preferences.

If you surveyed 20 people, each would have their own list of the most useful and successful Things features. That’s why we publish user reviews on our website: thingsapp.com. Work from anywhere, anytime.

The Things app for iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch (sold separately) makes it possible. You just need a free Things Cloud account to sync data across devices.
